Noida: Two men were arrested for allegedly running a fraudulent loan business and killing an associate earlier this month.
On Oct 7, a man's body was found in Dadri. He was identified as
Amit Kumar, a member of a gang which helped people avail loans by creating fake bank accounts. Kumar's wife registered a complaint, allegeing her husband was killed by his partners over a money dispute.
On Oct 10, three members of Kumar's gang, Himanshu, Omprakash alias Shivam alias Belu, and Sachin Tanwar alias Sandeep, were arrested for the murder. On Wednesday, Govind Singh and Vishal Chandra Suman were arrested from Dadri.
The accused revealed that Amit Kumar refused to share some funds they had received recently from a loan fraud, which is why they killed him.
Govind and Vishal faced charges under BNS sections 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 338 and 336(3) (forgery), 340(2) (forged document or electronic record and using it as genuine), and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy).
