NEW DELHI: A woman was shot due to matrimonial dispute that turned violent in north east Delhi's Seelampur on Wednesday night.
The incident was reported to the police by GTB hospital, where the woman, who has been identified as Saadma, was admitted with a bullet injury.
Investigations revealed that a woman had been facing ongoing marital issues with her husband and his family.

In an attempt to address the situation, the woman summoned her four brothers - Tafseer, Shahzad, Gulrej, and Muntahir - to her matrimonial home in Welcome Seelampur. However, their presence only escalated the tension, leading to a heated argument between the two families.
Amidst the altercation, Muntahir, one of the woman's brothers, allegedly fired a shot that hit Saadma, who is currently receiving medical treatment at GTB Hospital.
The police intervened and managed to arrest all four accused individuals at the spot.
