Prayers offered for DK Suresh

Udupi: Even as the Congress is yet to announce the candidate for the bypoll in Channapatna, supporters of former Bangalore Rural MP DK Suresh offered special puja at Kollur Mookambika temple on Thursday.
Former MLA of Channapatna, MC Ashwath, and others offered prayers to the deity of Kollur temple for DK Suresh. While Oct 25 is the last date to file nominations for the byelections for three assembly constituencies to be held on Nov 13, the result will be out on Nov 28.
"We offered a homa to Kollur Mookambika with prayers for the victory of Congress candidate DK Suresh in the byelection.Further, prayers were also offered on behalf of chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, and for the welfare of the people of Channapatna taluk," Ashwath told the media.
