An email threatening a bomb at Coimbatore International Airport led to a swift investigation by the CISF's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad. The scare, received late Tuesday night, was determined to be a hoax by early Wednesday. Subsequently, a complaint was filed with the Peelamedu police by a CISF official.

COIMBATORE: An email containing a bomb threat from an unknown person was sent to Coimbatore International Airport on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred around 10.30pm.
The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a thorough investigation and confirmed that the threat was a hoax.
Following the incident, a CISF official filed a complaint with the Peelamedu police in Coimbatore city.
