Patna: A day after the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy (Women) 2024 trophy tour was flagged off, it was formally welcomed at a function held at
Gandhi Maidan here on Tuesday. Patna district magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh, speaking at the event, announced that the trophy would be displayed at key locations across the state capital, including
Bihar Museum, Takhat Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib and Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan.
The aim is to generate enthusiasm for the game, particularly among women and youth, while promoting the international event, being hosted in Bihar for the first time. “It is a proud moment for Bihar that it is hosting an international-level sporting event for the first time,” he said.
