Ahmedabad: The third round of choice filling began for medical and dental admissions on Tuesday to fill 337 vacant seats. Students must submit their choices by Oct 19. If seats remain vacant even after this round, the authorities will conduct additional rounds to ensure maximum enrolment.
Traditionally, all medical seats are filled by the first or second round.
However, this year, even after three rounds, 222 seats remained vacant. Moreover, 15 students who previously secured admission decided to cancel it, resulting in a total of 237 vacant seats.
The National Medical Commission recently approved 100 seats for Bhagyodaya Medical College in Kadi. These seats have been made available to students in the third round. With the inclusion of these new seats, the total number of vacant medical seats has risen to 337.
