'Beaten with bricks': Man kills friend over Rs 400 liquor money in Delhi's Anand Vihar

In Anand Vihar, a man named Nirala was killed by his friend Ankit following a dispute over Rs 400 for liquor. Ankit assaulted Nirala with a brick and tried to avoid capture by checking into a de-addiction center. Police, after reviewing extensive CCTV footage, apprehended Ankit, who confessed and stated he used the stolen money for more alcohol.

NEW DELHI: A man was allegedly beaten to death in the Anand Vihar area of Shahdara district after an argument with his friend over Rs 400 for liquor.
The deceased was identified as Nirala.
Ankit, attacked Nirala with a brick, leaving him unconscious on the spot. He later succumbed to his injuries.
In an attempt to evade suspicion, Ankit checked himself into a de-addiction center after committing the crime.

Following a thorough investigation, which included analysing over 150 CCTV videos, police arrested him from the de-addiction center.
He confessed to the crime and revealed that he had used the stolen money to buy more alcohol, police said.
