VBA hints at putting up candidates in ‘most of the 288 assembly seats’
Pune: The VBA which plans to field candidates in most of the 288 assembly seats. VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar clarified there will be no alliance with Union minister of state Ramdas Athawale's party. In 2019, VBA contested over 250 of the 288 seats in the state but did not win a single one. Its presence dented the Congress-NCP alliance in more than 30 seats when it took away more than 5.5% votes.

In the current situation, VBA has hinted at contesting more seats. Ambedkar told TOI, "We have identified the seats. I will meet some social organisations that support us and then announce the number of seats we will contest in the next few days." - Anurag Bende
