Rider killed after motorbikes collide

Mangaluru: A bike rider was killed in a collision between two motorcycles at Arthaje, Jalsuru village, Sullia taluk on Tuesday. According to police, Vasanth, along with his pillion rider Arun Madiwal, was heading towards Sonangeri when he allegedly rode recklessly and collided with another bike travelling from Sonangeri towards Paichar.
The rider of the other bike, Bojappa Gowda K,54, a resident of Ivarnadu village, Sullia, was thrown onto the road and sustained severe injuries.Locals immediately rushed him to the govt hospital in Sullia, where doctors examined him and confirmed his death. Meanwhile, Vasanth and his pillion rider Arun Madiwal, who also sustained injuries, are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital. A case has been registered at the Sullia police station.
