LOIs awarded for mining blocks
Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday presented letters of intent (LOI) to eligible mining leaseholders at a function in Gandhinagar. The CM said the LOIs were awarded after a transparent auction process.
LOIs were awarded for the Shepa mineral block in the Junagadh district and the Varvada mineral block in Devbhumi Dwarka district. An official statement said Bharat Quarry Works was granted a 50-year mining lease for the Shepa block, while Jessa Kandoriya was awarded the LOI for the Varvada block for a 50-year term.
In Sabarkantha's Harsol Block-1, Ashok Amrutbhai Patel's name was approved for a 50-year term, and in Kutch district's Nadapa region, Gokul Kanabhai Dangar received the LOI for the China clay quarry.

The state govt has auctioned 25 major mineral blocks, with intent letters issued for 20 of them. Furthermore, 2,280 minor mineral blocks have also been auctioned.
