Amritsar: Rajya Sabha member Vikramjit Singh Sahney has applauded Punjab Police for its recent decisive action against illegal travel agents operating. In a release issued here on Monday, Sahney claimed that he has been instrumental in evacuating stranded youth from different countries and has rescued around 100 women from Punjab from the Middle East.
Best literary Pbi book awardsPatiala: The language department of Punjab govt has announced winners of the Best Literary Punjabi Book Awards for 2022.
Language department director Jaswant Singh Zafar said that the awards would be presented during the inaugural function of “Punjabi Month” in Nov at Bhasha Bhawan, Patiala. The books published in 2021 were evaluated by experts from various fields. The winners will receive a prize, a plaque, and a shawl.
