Prez Murmu to be in state on Oct 23

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will come to Odisha on a two-day visit from Oct 23. She will land at Bangiriposi in Mayurbhanj district in the morning
She will lay the foundation stones of a slew of railway projects in her home district of Mayurbhanj and several development projects.
She will lay foundation stone for new line projects, including Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh.
According to sources, the ministry of railways sanctioned the three new railway line projects for Mayurbhanj district in Aug this year.
The Badampahar-Kendujhargarh new line will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1,875.72 crore.
Similarly, Bangriposi-Gorumahisani new line will be built at a cost of Rs 2,269.49 crores and Buramara-Chakulia new line will will be built at a cost of Rs1,459.13 crores.
She will also be launching three projects - Tribal Research Centre, Dandbose airport and a sub-divisional hospital, virtually, said an official statement.
On Oct 24, she will visit Puri to attend 75th foundation day of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and leave for New Delhi.
Murmu had come to Odisha on a four-day visit in July.
