Peace restored, don’t fall for rumours: DGP on Bahraich violence
Lucknow: Director general of police Prashant Kumar on Monday said that peace has been restored in Bahraich and urged people not to fall prey to rumour or misinformation.
"Those involved in inciting violence will face strict legal consequences, as directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. No leniency will be shown to miscreants, and efforts to apprehend all involved are in full swing," he added.
"The CM is ensuring that law enforcement agencies act decisively to maintain peace in the area," he added.

"Intense search operations have been conducted, particularly in areas where rioters had taken refuge. Senior officers, including four IPS officers, two ASPs, and four COs, are actively supervising the deployment of personnel and ensuring that law and order is maintained," an official said.
