FIR against six for religious conversion bid in Jhunjhunu
Jaipur: Jhunjhunu police on Tuesday registered an FIR against six individuals for allegedly attempting to force religious conversions under the guise of a birthday celebration.
The action was taken following protests by members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), who claimed that villagers were being coerced into converting to another religion during the event organised in Dumoli Khurd area of Singhana on Monday.

Acting on this information, police arrived at the scene, where they found that many attendees were from Maharashtra. Two vehicles were seized, and more than 13 people were detained for questioning.
Following directives from senior officials, police arrested Sanjay Randhive, Jaishan Barnard, Shankarlal Kumawat, Amit Digambar, Panchram, and Kailash Choudhary. Sanjay and Jaishan are residents of Maharashtra.
The six accused were produced in a court that sent them to judicial custody.
