Gorakhpur: A total of 39 healthcare units in Gorakhpur district have been awarded Rs 20.35 lakh under the Kayakalp Scheme. The winners include six Primary Health Centres (PHCs), 16 Urban PHCs, and 17 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. The prize money will be utilized for preparing these units for the National Quality Assurance Certification (NQAS) and addressing any gaps identified during the Kayakalp evaluation.
Chief medical officer (CMO), Ashutosh Kumar Dubey, urged the winning units to prepare for NQAS certification in accordance with govt guidelines.
According to the CMO, 75% of the prize money will be used for the development of the awarded units, while the remaining 25% will be allocated for staff exposure visits, and incentive-related activities. TNN
CMO explained that healthcare units are evaluated based on infection control, quality of services, and cleanliness, among other parameters.
