Chennai: Taking a sharp dig at
BJP and RSS,
DMK MP Kanimozhi said, "We will create a BJP/RSS Mukt Bharat, and I would like to tell BJP in
Tamil Nadu that they do not have anything to do here, as we showed you in the last elections." Kanimozhi was addressing a meeting organised by the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee on Monday against "hate politics being spread by the
RSS and BJP".
Leaders from various parties in the INDIA bloc participated in the meeting, presided over by TNCC president K Selvaperunthagai.
Kanimozhi said if there was a fearless person today, it was
Rahul Gandhi, who was spreading love to counter the hate politics of BJP and RSS. "They are sowing the seeds of hatred every day, and we have to keep removing them with dedication and protect the nation," she said. The BJP and RSS would do anything to be in power, she added.
Kanimozhi demanded to know what the BJP, which called itself the protectors of Hinduism, had done for Hindus, whether it created jobs or protected Hindu women. She recalled how she was a witness to Rahul Gandhi being humiliated by former Union minister Anurag Thakur when he demanded the caste census.
"I did not know that saying a person was casteless was an insult, but when I heard Rahul saying yes, I am casteless, I did not know whether it was a Congressman speaking or a follower of Periyar," she said.
VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan said Rahul Gandhi's game was yet to begin. Rahul Gandhi was the reason why BJP was trying to show that it was upholding the Constitution. "I see Periyar, Ambedkar, and Jawaharlal Nehru in Rahul Gandhi; his game will begin in 2029, he will defeat the Sangh Parivar and ensure that the Constitution prevails," he said. Senior Congress leaders, including former TNCC President K S Alagiri, spoke. CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan, CPI state president R Mutharasan, MDMK general secretary Vaiko, Dravida Kazhagam president K Veeramani, IUML leader Kader Mohideen, MNMK president Jawahirullah, and MNM propaganda secretary Murali Abbas addressed the meeting.
