NEW DELHI: A mobile phone saved a man’s life by stopping a bullet aimed at him during a dispute between two families in the Cement Siding area of Punjabi Bagh on Monday.
The incident occurred following a confrontation that began on October 13, when a woman named Shanti and her companions Arjun, Kamal, and Jitender (also known as Jatin) went to speak with another family.
According to the police, they were attacked and chased away by individuals identified as Satnam (also known as Lilu), Sahil, Naseeb, and Ritik.
During the altercation, Arjun fired a shot at Ritik. The bullet was blocked by Ritik’s mobile phone, which he had in his trouser pocket. "A bullet fired at him was stopped by his mobile phone," police said.
Cases have been registered based on statements and evidence collected, and arrests have been made.
