Chandigarh: Haryana govt has decided to relax the rules to verify the credentials of candidates recommended by HPSC/HSSC for any Group A, B, C and D post.
The verification of character and antecedents will now be done within three months from the date of joining as opposed to on their immediate joining earlier. Candidates can now submit a medical certificate within two months of joining.
Besides, the work of matching biometric/facial verification attendance of the candidates sent by HPSC/HSSC will be done within two weeks from the date of joining, a govt spokesperson Saturday said. The official said as per rules, no person can be appointed to govt service without the verification of his character and antecedents and medical certificate of fitness. It often becomes difficult for the authorities concerned to issue the certificates in a limited time. Hence, the govt has decided to ease the rules.
The official said a letter in this regard has been sent from the chief secretary’s office to the administrative secretaries and heads of depts of the state. It will be specifically mentioned in the provisional appointment letter that in case of unfitness owing to any condition, the services of newly appointed employees will be terminated immediately without any notice, the official added.
