Narendra Modi condoled the demise of political analyst, academician and
BJP member Prof Kaushal Kishore Mishra, who died of illness on Oct 10.
In a letter to Mishra's wife, Bharti Mishra, dated Oct 11, Modi described Mishra's untimely demise as an irreparable loss for both the family and society.
The letter, which also went viral on social media, stated that he (Modi) was deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Kaushal Kishore Mishra, who was the former Dean of Social Science Faculty of
Banaras Hindu University.
"Mishra, known for his sociable personality, successfully fulfilled all responsibilities in public life. He was an enlightened thinker with a deep understanding of religious, political, and social issues. It was noted that as a skilled teacher, he guided many young individuals and played a significant role in strengthening the party in Uttar Pradesh. His death is an irreplaceable loss to society," the letter read.
"The pain cannot be expressed in words. Although he is no longer physically with us, his teachings and life values will remain with the family. May God grant your family and well-wishers the strength and courage to bear this sorrow," the letter continued.
Mishra, 67, passed away on Oct 10 after battling a leg infection at Sir Sunderlal Hospital in Banaras Hindu University.
Thousands of intellectuals, BJP members, and his well-wishers reached Harishchandra Ghat to take part in his funeral.
