Court sends Maloo to MCR till Oct 24

Nagpur: The judicial magistrate first class on Friday sent Ram Jhula accident accused Ritika Maloo to magisterial custody till October 24. She was sent to Nagpur Central Jail immediately after the order.
The state CID had produced Maloo before the magistrate with a plea to further extend the custody for more questioning. The magistrate denied the plea before sending her to judicial custody.
In the hearing on Maloo's bail application, which had also taken place on Friday, the sessions court will hear further arguments on October 14.While the prosecution has objected to the application stating it had become infructuous, the defence had been strongly clamouring for Maloo's bail.
