Poor roads in Barak Valley draw puja revellers’ ire
Silchar: Dilapidated roads in Barak Valley have drawn the ire of people, as well as the organisers. “CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s promise, during his recent visit, of repairing the roads before Durga Puja has not materialised. The Silchar-Shillong (NH-6), Assam-Tripura (NH-8), Silchar-Aizawl (NH-306) and other inter-district roads have not been renovated,” a resident said. A visitor said dilapidated road in front of Tarun Club Puja committee pandal has been causing problems for the revellers, reports BB Goswami.
