A raid was conducted and Amarachukwa, 30, was apprehended along with Vineet, 24, who was his driver as well as accomplice. During the search, 257 grams of cocaine were recovered from their possession.
During interrogation, Amarachukwa alleged that another Nigerian national, Seydou, used to supply cocaine to him in large quantities, which he sold to his customers. Vinit accompanied him on every deal and provided transportation in his cab, as police do not usually suspect cab drivers.
Seydou was held and 306 grams of cocaine were seized.
Amarachukwa came to India in 2021 on a medical visa. To earn easy money, he came into contact with Seydou, who promised to financially support him if he worked for him. Amarachukwa used to find drug addicts and send their details to Seydou who would pay him Rs 1,000 for every supply.
