The complaint states that Mitali was forced to bear the financial burden of the household despite her husband being employed at a govt hospital in Rajkot. The complaint revealed that Mitali was not allowed to wear her own jewellery and faced constant harassment in her marital life.
"After staying with her in-laws for a few days, the couple moved to Morbi. Her husband works at a govt hospital in Rajkot, while Mitali worked at a private clinic on Sartanpar Road," said Desai, a businessman dealing in tiles.
When Mitali's parents came to their house on Aug 9, they found her hanging after breaking open the door when she failed to answer their calls. Eight days before her death, Mitali had confided in her parents about the distress caused by her husband's behavior, including his refusal to contribute financially.
