He paid an advance of Rs 17 lakh and signed a contract on stamp paper. The Parmar couple transferred the shop's documents in the doctor's name on May 29, 2023. Thereafter, he made additional payments of Rs seven lakh on June 4, 2023, and Rs three lakh on June 12, 2023, amounting to a total of Rs 27 lakh.
However, on Jan 23 this year, Dr. Parmar received a notice from the Kotak Mahindra Bank, stating that the shop had been mortgaged for a loan of Rs 27 lakh with Bajaj Finance. The couple had allegedly concealed this important information from Dr. Parmar during the sale process. Despite the shop being encumbered by a substantial loan, the couple had sold it to Dr. Parmar for Rs 34 lakh without disclosing the fact.
