From there, one marriage certificate of accused Sahil and Nikki and one notebook were found. Nikki's handwriting was there in the notebook, which I identified. The marriage certificate and notebook were seized by police," he recorded at the court of Gurmohina Kau, the additional sessions judge.
Nikki's body was found stuffed in a refrigerator in a dhaba in Mitraun village in Delhi. Investigation has revealed that hours after murdering Nikki, Sahil had got married.
The crime branch booked Sahil, his father, and others in this case. The case is at the stage of recording the prosecution's evidence.
Nikki's father, Sunil Dutt, submitted before the court that he had called Nikki's mobile, which was found switched off on the day she was murdered. He told the court that he also talked to Sahil after his other daughter, Nidhi, gave him Sahil's number. He also spoke with Sahil's father, he said.

Dutt said that Sahil told him that Nikki went to Dehradun and her phone was with him. Sahil told him that he was busy with his wedding and would soon go in search of Nikki.
On Feb 14, 2023, he was informed by police that his daughter had been murdered and her body was found in a dhaba refrigerator, Dutt said. The additional public prosecutor (APP) said that the witness was resiling from his previous statement to the police. With the court's permission, the APP cross-examined Dutt.
On May 12, police filed a chargesheet against Sahil and five others for allegedly murdering Nikki in Feb 2023. All are in judicial custody.
