Nagpur: Senior multilingual writer and Sahitya Vihar president Asha Pande emphasized that the long story collection ‘Cassiopeia' beautifully captures women's emotions, desires and aspirations. She made these remarks while presiding over the release ceremony of ‘Cassiopeia', a collection of long stories authored by Aparna Vichore-Athalye. Besides Pande, Dr Arundhati Vaidya and Aparna Vichore-Athalye were also present during the book release function which took place at Mor Hindi Bhavan.
Dr Vaidya offered an insightful analysis of the poems in the collection, elaborated the difference between short and long stories, and shared her thoughts on storytelling and historical context.
Author Aparna Vichore-Athalye explained how ‘Cassiopeia', a constellation of stars, serves as a metaphor for storytelling. "Stories always surround us by uncovering their hidden essence, we find the seed of a narrative. Through our unique style, we weave reviews of various events and situations into compelling stories," she said.
The programme was moderated by Vinay Modak, while Shekhar Athalye and Atharva Athalye welcomed the guests. The event was also attended by writers Meenakshi Mohril, Manjusha Anil, Jayashree Dani and several literature enthusiasts.
