Identify top 10 criminals of district, initiate decisive action: CM Yogi to officials
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is on a two-day visit to Balrampur district, directed district administration officials on Wednesday to identify the top 10 notorious criminals and take decisive action against them.
Reviewing law and order, the CM said that officials should ensure that all upcoming festivals were celebrated safely and peacefully.
"No leniency should be shown to those who seek to disrupt communal harmony.

He also highlighted the importance of ensuring uninterrupted electricity and sanitation services during festivals.
Directing officials to launch a crackdown on criminals, the CM said, "Robust action should be taken against mafia elements in the district. Officials should identify the top 10 notorious criminals in the district and take decisive action against them."
The CM held discussions on the implementation of several key scheme in the district, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural), Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Operation Kayakalp, School Chalo Abhiyan,
Jal Jeevan Mission, cow vaccination campaigns, flood prevention measures, plantation campaign and drive to control communicable diseases.
Discussing flood control measures, Yogi said that as a permanent solution to the issue, Rapti river should be channelised.
He directed officials to ensure that all roads in the district were well-maintained and pothole-free. "Submit proposals for new roads and bridges and the govt would provide necessary funds. Land should be earmarked for the construction of a new cow conservation centre where compressed biogas should also be processed," the CM said.
On infrastructure, Yogi said that the construction of Maa Pateshwari University should be completed on time. He added that a nodal officer should be appointed to closely oversee construction work.
"Benefits of all govt schemes must be accessible to all citizens without discrimination, especially to eligible individuals in Tharu tribal and Scheduled Caste villages. For this, special camps should be organized," he said.
While reviewing Jal Jeevan Mission, the CM emphasised that roads should be repaired.
The CM also highlighted the need to resolve revenue disputes, instructing administrative officers to initiate a campaign to address these issues. A joint team of police and administration should be deployed to prevent any potential unrest, he added.
In addition to establishing a Pledge Park, the CM also emphasized the need for continuous efforts to boost industrial activities and generate employment in the district. He also called for a special cleanliness campaign in gram panchayats and said that it should be ensured that villagers receive all essential services at the gram panchayat secretariat.
