Trader accused of sexually assaulting wife
Ahmedabad: Bodakdev police on Wednesday filed a complaint against a 27-year-old man residing in a residential society on Judges Bungalow Road for allegedly sexually harassing his 26-year-old wife and seeking a dowry of Rs 40 lakh.
In her complaint, the complainant stated that she married the man, who runs a grocery and vegetable business from an APMC in the city, in 2022.
She had been in a relationship with him since 2015.
She alleged that soon after their wedding, her husband began fighting with her over trivial issues. She claimed that her husband often penetrated different objects into her during sex, even though she never gave consent for it.
She further alleged that her husband took pleasure whenever she felt pain during these unusual sexual activities. She also claimed that he forced her to have sex with his friend, and when she refused, he beat her severely.
The woman alleged in her complaint that her husband forced her to have an abortion before their marriage, and when she objected, he beat her badly.
Inspector R N Vinchhi of Bodakdev police said that the complainant also alleged that her husband sought a dowry of Rs 40 lakh from her. Bodakdev police registered a complaint of sexual harassment and domestic violence against her husband and began an investigation.
