Patna: Railways has further extended the services of five pairs of Bengaluru-bound special mail and express trains from Danapur till December to tackle the festival rush. The railways has been witnessing a huge rush of passengers on this route for the past six months.
The East Central Railway (ECR)’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra told this newspaper that the services of Danapur-SMVB Bengaluru weekly (03245/03246) have been extended till December 25 from Danapur and till December 27 from Bengaluru.

It leaves every Wednesday from Danapur and every Friday from Bengaluru.
“The Danapur-Bengaluru biweekly (03251/03252) will now be in operation till December 30 from Danapur and till January 1 from Bengaluru. The train leaves Danapur every Sunday and Monday and Bengaluru every Tuesday and Wednesday,” he said, adding that another Danapur-Bengaluru (03259/03260) has been put into operation till December 31 from Danapur every Tuesday and till January 2 from Bengaluru every Thursday.
Similarly, the services of Danapur-SMVB Bengaluru weekly (03247/03248) have been extended till December 26 from Danapur and till December 28 from Bengaluru. “It leaves Danapur every Thursday and Bengaluru every Saturday.
“The fifth pair of Danapur-Bengaluru (03241/03242) will be in operation till December 27 from Danapur and till December 29 from Bengaluru, leaving Danapur every Friday and Bengaluru every Sunday,” the CPRO said.
