BJP MLA meets minister, proposes flights for Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam
Prayagraj: Bharatiya Janta Party MLA from Allahabad West Assembly seat, Siddharth Nath Singh met Union minister for civil aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu in New Delhi on Thursday regarding the demand for air-connectivity of Prayagraj to Kolkata and Vishakhapatnam and addition of new flights. He also requested him to visit Prayagraj and inspect the ongoing work for the expansion of Prayagraj Airport.

While handing him a letter, Singh requested the minister's urgent attention to the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. The letter mentioned that as the airport terminal building is being expanded to accommodate the anticipated increase in footfall during this significant event, it is crucial to conduct a timely review of the ongoing construction projects.
"The minister assured that he would visit Prayagraj before the end of Oct," said Singh, adding that, "I formally requested him to visit the site at his earliest convenience to assess the progress."
In the letter the MLA stated, " I would also like to propose the addition of a new flight route between Prayagraj and Delhi. Furthermore, establishing connections to Visakhapatnam and Kolkata would significantly enhance the city's accessibility."
