Hyderabad: State IT and Industry Minister D. Sridhar Babu has stressed the importance of making sure that the benefits of the new policy for Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises (MSME) reach women and backward classes, including Dalit entrepreneurs.

The Minister spoke at a State-level meeting held at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by general managers of district industries centres. During the event, Sridhar Babu gave instructions on how the new MSME policy should be implemented.

He called for cooperation between Central and State MSME departments to help the industrial sector grow. Sridhar Babu suggested that the Prime Minister’s Vishwakarma scheme, which supports marginalised communities, should be applied across the entire State.

The Minister also pointed out that the industries department plays a crucial role in helping the State’s economy grow into a trillion-dollar economy over the next ten years. He emphasized that officials should make good use of Central government funds to improve industrial clusters within the State.
