Hyderabad: In a bid to enhance trade and economic ties between
Telangana and Taiwan, the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Telangana's ITE&C Department inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The strategic partnership is aimed at promoting investment, infrastructure development, and job creation across the state by attracting significant Taiwanese foreign direct investments (FDI) into Telangana.
The MoU has identified five key sectors for attracting Taiwanese FDI -- biotechnology, electronics, AI, green energy, and creative cultural sectors. It also outlined plans for collaboration on developing the India Taiwan Industrial Park (ITIP) in Hyderabad. To enhance cooperation between Taiwanese investors and the Telangana govt, TCC India plans to set up an office in Hyderabad to serve as a crucial link for promoting investment opportunities, facilitating information exchange, and assisting Taiwanese companies in navigating the Indian market.
The partnership will also involve the exchange of market entry research, coordination of investor meetings, and providing policy recommendations to bolster industrial development in Telangana.
