Angul: A 30-year-old tusker was found dead at Sisukata beat under Dhandatopa range in Athamallick sub-division on Monday night. The villagers of Sisukata discovered the carcass on Tuesday morning and informed forest department officials. RCCF Sudhanshu Khora said the elephant’s death was caused by electrocution, but added that whether it was a case of poaching could be ascertained after post-mortem examination.
