Kolkata: Two people died while five were injured in three accidents in the city. A biker riding without a helmet, Abdul Shayak (30), was killed after he lost control of his bike which skidded off the surface on the eastern flank of Garden Reach flyover on Tuesday afternoon.
A pedestrian, Bechu Khan (43), suffered severe injuries after a biker crashed into him while he was walking along PC Connector near the eastern slope of 4 number bridge on Monday night.
Khan succumbed to his injuries at CNMC Hospital early on Tuesday.
Three men on a bike, all without helmets, riding along the wrong flank of Garden Reach flyover, were injured when they collided head on with another scooter with two riders, none wearing helmets. Police said all five riders were under treatment at different hospitals. TNN
