Mayank with the ball. Hits Mahmadullah on the abdomen. That looked like it hurt but he continues. Certainly didn’t affect Mahmadullah too much because he picks the fourth ball well, goes for a SIX!

Stunning catch! Dragged back by Varun. Rishad tries to clear mid wicket fence. But Hardik covers a lot of ground to make a brilliant diving catch.

Rishad Hossain with a full-blooded slog sweep. Pierces the gap for a four. Just two singles other than that boundary. 

Mayank Yadav is the latest to add one to the wicket column, Shorter one. Jaker Ali edges it to Washington Sundar in the deep.

Clever bowling from Abhishek. Drags the length back to prevent Bangladesh batters from going over the top. No boundaries from the over. 

Varun Chakaravarthy continues. Leg-sideish from the spinner and Mehidy Hasan sweeps it for a four. Eight runs from the eighth over. 

Abhishek Sharma gets a chance with the ball now and he too gets a wicket in his first over. Tosses it up and induces an inside edge, which rattles the stumps. BOWLED!

First ball of the innings and Varun Chakaravarthy has a wicket. Drifts one in and Litton misses it completely. BOWLED!! Economical over from the spinner. Just a single from it. 

Washington Sundar into the attack and he strikes immediately. Fuller one and Shanto mistimes it. Easy catch for Hardik at long on.

Nitish gets a second over. Width from the medium pacer. Liton slices it past point for a couple of runs. Good fielding by Rinku Singh there to prevent a four. Into the slot by Nitish. Blasted over long on for a six by Litton Das. 

Knuckle ball to take the pace off. Bounces just short of Sky at mid on. OUT! Inside edge by Emon that knocks his off stump.

Shanto starts with back-to-back FOURS! Guides it behind fine leg for the first and pulls it over covers for the second. 

Nitish into the attack. Bangladesh openers unable to clear the fielders. Gets an inside edge on to the pads on the fifth. A couple to end the six-run over. 

Arshdeep to begin. Emon starts with a FOUR! Clears cover and runs away to the ropes. Leaves the next and takes a couple off the third. A beautiful delivery just outside off. But responds with back-to-back fours!

A wide and a wicket! Hardik is caught at deep extra cover.

Hardik launches it over long-on for a SIX! Parag gets off the mark with a single.Mustafizur restricts it to singles. Ends his spell with a 10-run over.

Mustafizur into the attack. OUT! Nitish mistimes it and gets an edge; lands safely in Miraz’s arms. Mushtafizur with the crucial breakthrough.

Mustafizur returns. Nitish takes a quick single. Rinku works it to deep square leg for a single. Mustafizur with a slow ball that beats Nitish. But punishes the next ball. SIX! Rinku ends the over with a four tucked behind. 

Rishad with a length ball to start the over. Rinku cuts it fine of point for a four. Fuller from Rishad. Nitish goes one better. Smokes it straight back the bowler for a 92-metre six. Rishad pushes it to a leg stump line. Nitish gets underneath the ball again. Over deep mid wicket for another six. Rishad now drags it back. Rinku slams it for another leg side fence. ANOTHER SIX!!

Mahmudullah into the attack. Back of a length from the off spinner. Nitish fails to get any timing on it. Just a single. Mahmudullah over steps. Nitish gets hold off the freehit. Launches it over long on for his first six of the day. 

Mahmudullah responds with an arm ball. Nitish tries a reverse sweep, but is hit on the pads. Bangladesh burns a review looking for a wicket. 

Rishad Hossain gets his first over of the day. Fuller length from he leg spinner. But the Indian batters can’t get under it, until Rinku Singh brings out the slog sweep. Clears the fence. SIX!!

Mehidy Hasan Miraz back into the attack. Nitish taps one to mid on and squeezes in a double. Good running from Nitsh and Rinku there. The off-spinner concedes no boundary in his second over. 

Mustafizur Rahman introduced. Fuller ball from the left-arm pacer. Suryakumar leans into the cover drive. A fumble by Mehidy Hasan at the fence allows a four. 

Mustafizur with a cutter angling it away from the batter. Suryakumar can only chip it to mid off.

Taskin continues. Suryakumar Yadav gets off the mark with a double. Nitish Kumar Reddy is the new batter for India. Suryakumar gets hold off a fuller one. Smacks it straight back. It ricochets off Nitish, who seems to be in pain. 

Tanzim Hasan Sakib with the third over. Off-stump line from the pacer. Abhishek looks to loft it. Inside edge and flies to third man fence. FOUR!! Wider from Tanzim. Smashed through covers for another four by Abhishek. 

Tanzim hangs it outside the off stump again. Abhishek goes after it again. Inside edge. This time it deviates onto the stumps. India loses both openers early. 

Taskin into the attack. Sharp from the Bangladesh pacer to start with. Just a single from the first two balls. Straighter line to Abhishek. No room for the left-hander to work with. Only one single from the three balls. 

Back of a length slower ball from Taskin. Samson fails to clear mid off. Early wicket for Bangladesh.

Over cover point for a couple of runs. Gets better timing this time. Thrashed through covers for a four. 

The only time Bangladesh has beaten India in T20 Internationals was at this very venue in November 2019.

Mahmudullah announces retirement from T20Is after India vs Bangladesh series

Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah has announced retirement from the T20 Internationals, and will hang up his boots after the ongoing series against India.

There is an air of calm confidence in India’s training session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Tuesday. After a thumping seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in Gwalior, this Indian team is on a high.
