BJP MP from Kurukshetra. Earlier, she served as minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led
Congress govt between 2005 and 2013 before quitting the party. Devender Kadyan, an entrepreneur-turned-politician from Sonipat district, was the second independent candidate to taste victory, defeating former speaker and senior Congress’s Kuldeep Sharma by 35,209 votes from Ganaur.
Congress rebel Rajesh Joon, a confidant of ex-CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, won from Bahadurgarh by defeating Dinesh Kaushik of BJP by 41,994 votes.
