Kanpur: Nisha Verma, Vidushi Mishra, and Anjali Rawat, all registered with the Kanpur Cricket Association, have been selected for the Uttar Pradesh Under-19 women's team, which will participate in knockout matches scheduled to be held in Jhajjar and

Hockey trials: Trials for the selection of district and divisional level hockey teams to participate in the State Level Senior Hockey Championship will be conducted at Green Park Stadium on October 18 and 19. According to RN Singh, deputy director of sports, the state-level championship will take place at Major Dhyan Chand Sports Stadium in Jhansi from October 23 to 28. He informed that district-level trials will be held at 3 pm on October 18, and divisional-level t at 10 am on October 19. Football trials: The sports department will conduct trials for district and divisional level football teams that will participate in the Senior Men's Football Championship at Green Park Stadium on October 14. The state-level championship will be held at Bheem Rao Ambedkar International Sports Complex in Dabha Semar, Ayodhya, from October 17 to 24.
Interested footballers may contact Jyoti Gupta, football coach, and bring the original and photocopy of their birth certificate issued by the Nagar Nigam and Aadhaar Card.
Athletics Trial: The sports department will conduct trials for district and divisional level athletic teams (men/women) for the state-level championship at Green Park Stadium on October 17 and 18 at 3.30 pm. The state championship will be held at the sports hostel in Gorakhpur on October 21 and 22. Interested athletes may contact the coach at the stadium.
T-20 matches held: Maa Chemist and Lala Sports emerged victorious in their respective matches in the Rashtriya Challenger T-20 Trophy cricket championship being conducted at the Rashtriya cricket ground on Wednesday.
In another encounter, Lala Sports comprehensively defeated Mad Ex XI by 74 runs.
