"Injured Sadik, who was stabbed in the stomach, was taking treatment and was fit for a statement."
Sadik told cops they had a property dispute with his cousin Jakir at their native place in Bihar. "Family members of both parties always fought at their native village over this property dispute.
Wives of both parties fought at their village on the same issue," Sadik added. "Jakir's wife informed him telephonically, due to which he flared up and stabbed Sadik in the stomach. When his brother Aabid tried to save him, Jakir also attacked Aabid's neck with a knife," police said.
During treatment, Abid succumbed to injuries, and a murder case was registered.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said they formed multiple teams in the case and sent them to different railway stations.
"Based on a tip given by a secret informer, he was nabbed from Inderlok," police said, adding that he was planning to flee, but before that, he was nabbed.
