Man kills friend over a taunt in Chennai

CHENNAI: A 43-year-old guest worker from Uttar Pradesh was murdered by his colleague near Mangadu after he taunted him. Police arrested S Kumar on charges of murder.
The incident occurred on Monday night at a timber yard in Barani Pudur near Mangadu, where both men were employed.
Police said Anil Pandey, 43, was working at the timber yard for the past one year, while Kumar had joined just a couple of weeks ago.On Monday night, Anil and his friend took Kumar's mobile phone and hid it. They watched a video on his phone and kept teasing him. Later, as the two went to sleep, Kumar attacked Anil using a rod, killing him instantly.
Other workers who noticed the body alerted police, who rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
