"There is consensus on most of the seats; there is a dispute on a few seats, but we will resolve it amicably," Deshmukh said.
Deshmukh said there was absolutely no dispute on any seat and that there will be no need for intervention from New Delhi. "Many senior BJP leaders are keen to join the Sharad Pawar-led NCP; they are keen to contest on the trumpet symbol. A decision on such aspirants will be taken at a higher level," Deshmukh said.
Deshmukh made it clear that there was no discussion on the CM post, nor was there a dispute on it. "No one has raised the issue of the CM post. Our priority is to dislodge the corrupt Mahayuti govt," he said.

According to reports, many legislators of the Ajit Pawar group are keen to join the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP). "Barring the cabinet members who joined the govt along with Ajit Pawar, we will certainly consider the entry of other legislators," an NCP (SP) politician said.
MPCC president Nana Patole had on Monday said that the list of most of the candidates will be declared on Dussera, Saturday.
A Congress said that while the Congress will contest around 100 seats, an equal number of seats will be contested by the Shiv Sena (UBT), while the NCP (SP) is expected to contest 80 to 85 seats. "Not the number of seats, but winnability is the main criterion for the allotment of seats," he said.
