Free LPG from Cong neta as ‘festive sop’

Kalyan: With state elections looming, Congress's Kalyan district vice-president Rajabhau Patkar on Tuesday announced that he will offer one LPG cylinder free to poor and widowed women of Kalyan West assembly constituency as a Dussehra and Diwali sop.
Sachin Pote, the party's district president, told reporters that a Congress team conducted a survey in the constituency and found 10,000 poor and widowed women."Patkar will provide the free cylinders to them through his gas agency. He has set up four centres where people can register themselves and get the benefit before Diwali." Patkar said he was driven by his underprivileged upbringing to come up with this initiative and give back to society.
