Bhubaneswar: State govt on Monday transferred Re 1 to the accounts of over 32 lakh beneficiaries of
Subhadra Yojana as a test transaction for the second phase of release of the first instalment of Rs 5,000, to ensure the money is being transferred successfully.
Deputy chief minister Pravati Parida said, “Over 1 crore beneficiaries have enrolled in the Subhadra scheme so far.
This is no small achievement. The second phase of the release of the first instalment will be done on Oct 9 to beneficiaries having proper documentation. State govt is also working on waiving off interest on loans provided to self-help groups amounting to Rs 200 crore.”
Chief minister Mohan Majhi will distribute the first instalment under the scheme to over 35 lakh beneficiaries in Baripada on Wednesday.
