Chhatrapur park is home to world’s ‘seven wonders’
Berhampur: The newly opened Wonder Park in Chhatrapur, Ganjam district, allows visitors to experience the beauty of ‘seven wonders of the world’ without leaving Odisha. The park features replicas of the Taj Mahal, pyramids of Egypt, Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer statue, Colosseum and the Statue of Liberty.
Inaugurated by ministers Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and Bibhuti Bhusan Jena recently, the Saptacharya park spans over 1.8 acres of land and was developed by the Chhatrapur Notified Area Council (NAC) at a cost of Rs 3.6 crore.

The park’s construction took three years, with the monuments made using fibre-glass reinforced plastic and iron. Eiffel Tower’s replica, standing 45-feet tall, is one of the park’s key attractions. Along with the iconic structures, the park offers decorative lighting, gyms, amusement areas for children and toilet facilities.
The park, will be open to the public from 5 pm to 7.30 pm, with the civic body set to decide on visitor fees.
Housing and urban development minister Mohapatra instructed the officers of the council to maintain the park’s cleanliness to attract visitors. Berhampur MP Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy, who attended the inauguration, hoped the park will become a popular destination for tourists visiting nearby sites such as Gopalpur, Tara Tarini Temple and Tampara lake.

The entry fee at Jurassic Park in Janeshwar Mishra Park for children aged 4-12 will be reduced to Rs 90 from Rs 120. Free entry remains for kids below 3 years. New facilities are being developed, including a large cafeteria. The park features models of dinosaurs, mammoths, and saber-toothed tigers, and is open from 2pm to 9pm.
