The newly launched Tata Nexon CNG has started arriving at dealerships nationwide. Available across eight variants, the prices start at Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Nexon CNG makes use of the existing 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and is tuned to produce 99bhp and 170Nm of peak torque. Unlike other Tata CNG models, this one is offered only with a six-speed manual gearbox. It can be had in Smart (O), Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, and Fearless+ S variants. Like its petrol and diesel counterparts, even the CNG variant goes loaded with features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, cooled front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
It boasts Tata’s signature twin-cylinder technology, which enables a usable boot space of 321 litres. Further, the instrument cluster gets additional CNG trip information and a dedicated button on the haptic panel to switch between petrol and CNG modes.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the direct rival to the Tata Nexon CNG that has a starting price of Rs. 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
