MIM, Cong cadre clash in Nampally

Hyderabad: Violence broke out between AIMIM and Congress cadres in the Nampally constituency on Monday. The incident took place after AIMIM workers, led by MLA Majid Hussain, took objection to Congress leader Feroz Khan supervising civic works. In this incident, five persons were injured.
Khan and a group of local Congress workers were conducting a padayatra and came to supervise the GHMC works.Majid Hussain and his party workers, who were nearby, became annoyed by Khan's presence.
AIMIM workers, led by the MLA, were seen rushing aggressively towards the Congress workers. Chaos broke out as both groups started attacking each other. The MLA was seen hurling abuses at Feroz.
One person was seen pulling a lathi from a woman constable and using it to attack their political opponents. Another person was seen throwing stones. Although policemen were present at the spot, they could not control the situation as they were outnumbered by the AIMIM and Congress cadres. Despite the police's attempts to stop the violence, the agitated workers from both parties did not heed their warnings.
