Cop hurt after falling into nullah

Mumbai: A police officer was seriously injured after he accidentally fell into a nullah at Dahisar West while investigating a case on Monday. Sub-Inspector Mukesh Kharat was hospitalised and underwent treatment, officials said. Kharat was attached to the MHB Colony Police Station. On Monday, the MHB Colony Police received information about a corpse being found in a nullah near the railway tracks at Dahisar West.Kharat went to the location to investigate. While standing near the nullah, he lost his balance and fell inside. The nullah is filled with sharp rocks and water. He suffered injuries and was brought out of the nullah by colleagues. As his condition was critical, he was moved to a private hospital for treatment. |
