Fake edu certificate racket busted, 2 held
Hyderabad: Sleuths of task force on Monday arrested two persons in Amberpet on the charges of preparing fake education certificates.
Police said that they raided a Xerox shop at Owaisi Nagar and seized 84 fake certificates, four empty certificates, 14 judicial stamps, a computer, and a printer. The fake certificates pertained to SSC, intermediate and degree exams.

Mohammed Iqbal owns the Xerox shop and suffered losses due to poor business. He met a friend, Shaik Ilyas Ahmed, and hatched a plot to prepare fake education certificates and sell them to needy persons in exchange for money.
Iqbal is skilled in using photoshop software and Ilyas, who worked as an agent, was contacting Iqbal to make the fake certificates, police said. From each person, the accused collected Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. Police are verifying to whom the accused had sold the certificates so far.
