Teacher killed in accident on Morbi Road

Rajkot: Snehal Popat, a 37-year-old woman teacher, was killed in a road accident on Tuesday afternoon near Velanath Para on the Rajkot-Morbi highway after a truck struck her scooter. The accident occurred as Popat was leaving a petrol pump on the Rajkot-Morbi road near Velanath Para. The collision caused her to fall and suffer severe head injuries, leading to her immediate death.
Popat, who taught students from Classes 6 to 10 at Karnavati School in the Railnagar area of Rajkot, had just finished her morning shift and was on her way home to RK Dream Apartments on Morbi Road when the accident took place. Popat is survived by her husband, Brijesh Popat, who runs a grocery business, and their daughter.
B Division police conducted the necessary procedures and Popat's body was sent for a postmortem examination.
