Patna: After being granted bail in a money laundering case related to the alleged railway land-for-jobs scam by a special court in Delhi on Monday, RJD national president
Lalu Prasad expressed his faith in the judiciary. Echoing similar sentiments, his younger son and leader of opposition in Bihar assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, alleged the case against them was part of a political vendetta.
“We have got justice and we will get justice in the future too. This is part of political vendetta and BJP is doing this to its opposition. However, we will continue with the struggle,” Tejashwi told reporters outside the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi.
Lalu’s daughter and RJD MP from Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency, Misa Bharti, also expressed confidence in the judicial system. “We have full faith in the judiciary,” Misa said, adding the govt was attempting to entrap the opposition.
Lalu and his two sons, Tej Pratap and Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, were granted bail on Monday upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh each and a surety bond of the same amount. The next hearing is scheduled for October 25.
