Champai Soren was released from the Tata Main Hospital (TMH) on Monday after his health condition improved.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Champai over the phone earlier in the day and asked about his well-being.
“I pray to Marang Buru (supreme tribal deity) to give Champaida a speedy recovery. I also wish him a long life,” the PM expressed his wishes for a quick recovery.
The Prime Minister commended Champai for delivering a public speech via video conferencing from the hospital despite his illness.
Chief minister Hemant Soren also wished Champai a speedy recovery.
Champai expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the phone call and said that he was feeling better.
He thanked his well-wishers for their prayers. “With the grace of Marang Buru (supreme tribal deity) and ancestors, the tireless effort of the doctors and blessings of all of you, I have been discharged from the hospital,” he posted on X.
Champai (68) was admitted to TMH on Saturday after his blood sugar levels dropped.
